This role is an excellent opportunity to join us as a Supplier Quality Engineer in Sint-Truiden, in our Tenneco, Performance Solutions, Ride Control - Driv Sint Truiden Business Unit, in Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for all product purchased components delivered towards Tenneco Sint Truiden.

Through the initial product introduction according to the APQP/PPAP regulation, your task is to achieve complete approved supplier components, and you will closely work with the plant launch team, the Tenneco program teams, Tenneco engineering teams, and the suppliers.

You will start the NRC/SCAR rejection system towards the suppliers for products that do not meet the required specification. You will closely monitor the complete 8D cycle from the suppliers by using mail, phone, and, if needed, on-site supplier visits (Europe).

You will make clear reports from the KPIs received according to the quality management system and the IATF 16949 standard.

You are managing a team of 4 quality technicians carrying out the following tasks:
  • Supplier PPAP
  • ICY PPAP from Tenneco Sint Truiden towards sister companies
  • Incoming inspections on supplier shipments
  • Supplier complaints administration

Education
  • Engineer - Electro-mechanics
Experience
  • Ten years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in a production environment. Experience in the automotive industry as Tier 1 supplier is recommended.
Knowledge
  • PPAP
  • APQP
  • 8D methodology
  • Strong analytical reasoning ability
  • Leadership skills: directs a team of quality technicians
  • Good adaptability and stress resistance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organizational skills, good priorities, and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English
