Supply Chain & Production Team Lead - Leuven (Belgium) - Permanent Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain & Production Team Lead to join our dynamic team in Leuven. As a leading manufacturer of electronic components, we are committed to delivering high-quality products to our clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and production operations within the electronics industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of supply chain and production professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock.
  • Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Implement and maintain production processes and quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to address production challenges and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement within supply chain and production operations.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Act as the primary liaison between supply chain, production, and other departments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates and insights.
  • Ensure alignment of supply chain and production activities with overall company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain and production management, preferably within the electronics industry.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.
