Job description

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Sustainability Manager to join our team and strengthen our commitment to a sustainable future.

As Group Sustainability Manager, you will spearhead step by step the creation and implementation of sustainability strategies across all companies within the Delta Light Group. This role encompasses broad collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring all sustainability efforts align with our company vision and goals and with the CSRD guidelines.

• Based on the clear strategical vision for sustainability that was set by Management you implement the sustainability strategy across all companies within the Delta Light Group and this depending on the status, in different paces.
• You will coordinate and engage the internal stakeholders to ensure all sustainability efforts are effectively implemented and reported with the aim to inspire and lead us towards achieving all sustainability goals.
• You formulate, implement and execute group-wide and company-specific sustainability strategies by utilising the ’future fit’ method for measurement, comparison, monitoring, and planning. This with a very handson mentality and open to help where necessary.
• As the Lead of the sustainability steering committee you are also leading and supporting key sustainability projects, you engage in collaborative efforts with various departments, including facility, HR, purchasing, subcontracting, quality, product development, packaging, marketing, and more.
• You are THE proactive sustainable player/communicator. Be the ambassador and communicate internally and collaborate together with marketing for external communication. This includes also the Annual Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure (CSRD) reporting.
• You execute and implement the sustainability strategy on both product and process level, with impacts on the main areas like carbon neutrality, waste, recycling, health & wellbeing, social foundations, circular economy, etc.
• You lead educational training programs to increase the awareness and engagement within the company.

Profile

• Passionate to be the first ... sustainability manager at Delta Light: eager to guide the company towards the right goals – together with a lot of enthusiastic colleagues of different departments
• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a technical field with a passion for sustainability.
• At least 6 years of professional experience (does not have to be in sustainability) with strong communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable messages.
• Results-driven with strong persuasive skills and openness to learning.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch.
• Solid project management skills with a proactive, business-minded approach.
