We are looking for a taxonomy analyst to work in a multicultural and cross-disciplinary team in the public sector, with a focus on digital labour market applications and semantic technologies.

We are seeking an agile and hands-on colleague to work alongside machine learning researchers, software engineers, data analysts and communication professionals to ensure the continuous update of the ESCO classification – the ontology built by the European Commission on occupations and skills. Our ideal candidate is proficient in English and is passionate about applying their expertise to increase the accuracy of algorithms we use to process labour market data as well as to drive the continuous process for taxonomy development.

Your role:
Create, enrich, and validate the ESCO taxonomy by creating new concepts, quality assuring the existing data, and creating new metadata as defined by the future needs of a knowledge graph.
Research, classify, and annotate labour market concepts from data generated by ESCO implementers and other stakeholders;
Leverage a diversity of resources and labour market standards to enrich, re-structure and organise this data;
Identify systematic relationships between concepts such as job titles, skills and qualifications;
Evaluate the output of machine learning algorithms and continuously improve our internal taxonomy management tools;
Perform validation activities based on output provided by our AI language models to train these models and prepare the pipeline for the creation of new knowledge content;
Organise and prepare data sets to produce reports, summaries of findings, and data visualizations.
