Logistics at full potential

As a team leader you are responsible for the efficient daily functioning of the department, with a particular emphasis on managing warehouse employees and implementing action plans for the warehouse. You establish procedures to keep promises to the company and to customers and ensure that they are enforced; you stimulate/implement continuous improvements; you provide training, motivation and leadership within your area of ​​responsibility; you resolve conflicts; and you ensure the enforcement of company rules and procedures.

What does your day look like as a Teamleader

• Ensure continuous management of team performance; ensure the development of employees through training and coaching;
• As the person ultimately responsible, comply with all operational KPIs;
• Assign tasks and ensure that work is completed properly and accurately;
• Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to positive team dynamics, resolving issues in employee relationships and taking corrective action where necessary;
• Leading start-up activities with cross-functional teams;
• As the person ultimately responsible, make recommendations for appointments, contract terminations, performance reviews and promotions;
• Daily communication with internal and external customers on an operational level;
• Taking care of the personnel planning for all services and accounts; plan and organize the workload of employees;
• Document the processes the department works with;
• Train employees in such a way that they have up-to-date knowledge of processes, rules and procedures.

What do you need to be successful

• Minimum education level: MBO logistics, supply chain management or equivalent;
• Minimum Work Experience: More than 3 years operations experience in a similar position;
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (spoken and written);
• LEAN Warehousing.
