As Technical Owner you will be working on the LIMS application for our QC department worlwide. They will be expected to assist other LIMS team members to help investigate andcorrect issues, configure the system for the business, maintain the server infrastructure, and be available for anything related to this critical LIMS software application. They will need to be able to work with a global team coordinating tasks and projects in order to keep existing systems running well and implement new technologies to move the company forward.
  • Work Tier 3 help desk tickets to correct issues with assigned systems
  • Assist IT management in guiding the organization’s use and improvement of assigned technologies
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance and support our global business
  • Provide technical training on systems where they have expertise
  • Act as technical resource for global projects in their area of expertise
  • Assist with the planning, development, and execution of projects to expand, improve, or replace the systems for which they are responsible
  • Assist with the setup and installation of global systems
  • Follow technology trends to ensure the company is making the best use of technologies available
  • Create and maintain documentation to support assigned systems
  • Build and maintain reports for the LIMS platform
  • Potentially be available at off-hours to assist with emergencies on systems for which they are responsible
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • 3-6 years relevant LIMS system experience as an IT administrator
  • Candidate must be a customer oriented, team player, have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Research, understand, and contribute to the goals and mission of the IT Department and the company as a whole
  • Perform all responsibilities of this position while continually presenting a positive and professional example for the rest of the team and the company
  • Ability to train users at different skill levels
  • Experience with help desk ticketing software
  • Experience with incident troubleshooting and escalation
  • Possess effective prioritization and project management skills
