工作内容

As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for providing all user documentation for Barco’s networked digital operating room solution, including: user guides, admin guides, installation manuals, service instructions, in-product help, etc.

Key responsibilities:

  • You collect and organize product information from various parties within the company (R&D, product management, service…) .
  • You analyze technical and abstract data and translate it into concise, yet clear and direct instructions and procedures.
  • You develop high-quality self-explaining product illustrations.
  • You test both the product and its documentation on accuracy, consistency and usability. You proactively suggest product improvements.
  • You initiate and follow-up multi-lingual translations of documents.

Your profile:

  • You hold a higher degree in a technical field
  • Thanks to your analytical skills, you have the ability to translate complex, technical information into easily understandable and clear user instructions.
  • You are fluent in English (oral & written communication). You have good writing and editing skills. Knowledge of Simplified Technical English is a plus.
  • The following skills are considered an asset but not a must:
  • Knowledge of networking technology is also a plus, but not a necessary prerequisite.
  • Talent in showing ideas graphically. Proficiency with vector illustration and image editing tools is a strong plus.
  • Experience with structured authoring and component content management systems (CCMS) is a plus, yet not mandatory.
  • As a motivated professional, you have the ability to work independently in a structured, organized and planned manner and with an eye for detail.
