Tool Designer in Bruges, Belgium

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Within the framework of a project and on the basis of the tool requests and the engineering information, in close collaboration with method, analyse the technical data and prepare the necessary drawings with the aim of delivering correct usable tools to the production.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
Designs the tool where the following factors are crucial:
Budget
Schedule
Integration in the chain and the environment
Safety and ergonomics.

Drawing up a tool file for implementation consisting of tool drawings, associated parts lists, pointing vouchers for the production of the tools involved.
Follow-up of the tools and installations designed by him, during:

the construction phase
the installation
the commissioning.
Follow-up of maintenance and frequent checking of tools.

QUALIFICATION:
3 to 5 years’ experience in a relevant role in transport industry (railway industry is definitely a nice to have);
Mechanical backgorund;
Good knowledge of safety standards and tool design;
CATIA / autocad drawing pack;
Fluent Dutch and good English are a must have.
