We are seeking a Tribe Release Engineer with specific experience in the Banking domain. The Release Engineer will closely collaborate with different squads in the Tribe and Release Engineers from other tribes. In this role, the Engineer represents the agile mindset and will act as a servant leader, who has a positive attitude and a thirst for knowledge.

You will be based out of their Brussels office and will be required to go into the office 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate the delivery progress in the overview of dependencies to manage related risks proactively
  • Prepares decisions for delivery bottlenecks (investigating and proposing alternate scenarios)
  • Collaborates with (tribe) Product Owners and (tribe) Scrum Masters.
  • The Release Engineer ensures regular and specific communication with a wide group of stakeholders (eg Test Engineers to allow them to plan their chain tests and performance tests optimally).
  • Ensure that (software) configuration management in the tribe is executed in a professional manner, and stimulates the introduction of software version management as leverage towards optimal quality

Must Have Skills

  • Sound knowledge of activities considering release management and configuration management
  • Capacity to integrate individual squad plans in one consolidated release plan
  • Build and consolidate release runbooks
  • Interest in the market evolutions concerning continuous delivery, and active embedding of these techniques inside the tribe
  • Active communication with a wide group of stakeholders inside and outside the tribe
  • Solution-oriented, to signal in a timely matter any planning deviations and to elaborate a solution together with the involved teams
