Job aim:
  • Provide support to the Head of Strategy and Prevention and the Public Affairs & Alcohol in Society team in (i) the deployment of the Alcohol in Society strategy, and (ii) the advocacy on EU alcohol policy related issues.
  • The Public Affairs & Alcohol in Society team is in charge of the implementation of the group’s commitment to responsible drinking. The team defines the Group’s responsible drinking strategy, creates tools and guidelines to help affiliates fighting alcohol misuse in the country where they operate.
  • The team is also engaging with EU policy makers in addressing alcohol policy decisions, and more particularly policy decisions relating to health considerations.
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Mission 1: Consumer information
    • Pernod Ricard has announced the creation of a digital label for all its alcoholic portfolio, by apposing a QR Code on all its back label redirecting consumer to a platform sharing information on health, responsible drinking, ingredients and nutrition facts. The digital label will be rolled out globally by 2024.
    • The manager will provide support to the creation of the digital label: data collection with our affiliates world-wide, communications needs, affiliates’ advocacy needs, brands’ process report, etc.
  • Mission 2: EU Advocacy on alcohol & health related decisions
    • Support the public affairs team in the advocacy efforts involving EU stakeholders on alcohol & health policy issues
    • Support the coordination of national advocacy teams on EU health related issues
  • Mission 2: Other responsible drinking projects
    • Pernod Ricard has a global partnership with the United Nation Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) on the prevention of alcohol related road crashes (Autosobriety). Autosobriety is currently in place in 4 countries and we’re planning to expand up to 10 countries in the next 2 years. The manager will support the deployment of Autosobriety world-wide.
    • Pernod Ricard is building a consumer information platform with an external agency. The manager will provide support in the creation of the platform (content and implementation strategy)
    • The manager may also provide support to the deployment of other responsible drinking initiatives, such as the development of internal awareness campaigns targeting Pernod Ricard’s employees, support to the brands’ marketing campaigns on responsible drinking.
  • Mission 5: Reporting
    • Support project manager in the annual reporting of all responsible drinking programmes and keep data base up to date.
    • Drive the collection and analysis of key data from internal reporting to support goal setting of the Group’s Alcohol in Society strategy.
  • Mission 6: Team admin
    • Keep know how up to date
Performance criteria:
  • Criterion 1: Ability to understand the issues at stake and to proactively propose solutions and action plan
  • Criterion 2: Very good communication and drafting skills, in French and importantly in English. Must be able to articulate reasoning clearly orally and in writing. Must be able to use Excel and manage database.
  • Criterion 3: Very good organizational skills. Ability to build a well-organized central know-how for Alcohol in Society department (centralized filing, elaboration of appropriate tools, gathering relevant information, communicate on all aspects of alcohol in society etc.)
  • Criterion 4: Ability to interact with other entities and departments within the group and ability to animate the Alcohol in Society community
  • Language required: French and English
