The role of Voice Administrator will be part of the NATO Digital Workplace (NDW) based from Braine l’Alleud , Belgium.

The role:

The mission of the NDW is to empower NATO employees with the services, tools and approaches to digitally connect, communicate and collaborate. Part of this newly formed group the Support Voice Engineer will assist in the delivery technical support of voice services across the entirety of NATO’s international operations. The Engineer will provide remote fault diagnosis, carry out routine maintenance of the static Voice infrastructure, management appliances, and support other NATO Voice equipment.

Working as part of a team the Voice Administrator will need to be comfortable at times working in shifts to create, report, track and close Voice tickets and be able to assist in the logistic and asset management of voice services equipment across NATO’s international locations.

About you:

You have a focus on delivering results, meeting customer expectations and able to adapt to, and respond to change. Creating collaborative networks with peers internally and externally is important to you and for your success in this role. Further to this, you have:

  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience of Cisco Call Managers and Call Mangers Express;
  • At least 4 years’ operation and configuration experience of Cisco Unified Border Elements;
  • Good knowledge of protocols and standards utilized in VoIP and Unified Communications; SIP, TLS, MGCP, H.323, RTP (incl. G.711, G.729 codecs), and other similar standards;
  • At least 4 years’ experience with deployment and configuration of VoIP solutions including Call Managers, management appliances and endpoints;
  • Experience with deployment and configuration VoIP equipment integration with Unified Communications solutions such as Microsoft Skype for Business;
  • Experience with deployment, testing and evaluation of communications gateway Session Border Controller; Cisco CUBE;
  • An understanding of the classic Telecommunication technology including TDM;
  • Ideally have experience with Cisco Call Centre Express (UCCX)
  • Ideally have experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
  • Ideally be familiar with military voice and data systems;
