You want to share your experience and your passion.Then this opportunity is made for you.We are looking to strengthen our team with an:Application Design Engineer - Digital Power (M/W)He/She belongs to the "Digital Power Application Center" team and ensures the design and the setup of smart, connected, supervised, and controlled edge systems dedicated to Power Management for Electro-intensive End Users.The Application Design Engineer highly contributes to create high value for our customers. His job combines the areas of Electricity and Digitization with state of the arts hardware and software products. Multiple human contacts within the company and with our customers and partners are conducted daily to deliver each project with customer satisfaction.Your key responsibilities are to:
  • Design the edge system: hardware and software architecture, hardware and software interfaces with MV/LV devices, functional analysis.
  • Configure and test the edge system: program the software applications (Supervision, Automation), configure the computers, the controllers, and the network devices, realize the FAT and the SAT of the system, documents and train the customer.
  • Manage the project with respect to the safety rules, the quality of the work and the deadlines.
  • Actively collaborate with team members and members of other execution centres, and field services teams.
  • Work closely with a senior engineer.
Your hard and soft skills are:
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in operational technology.
  • First successful experience in one industrial power project with implementation of an automation system.
  • Bilingual Dutch / French with a good knowledge of technical English.
  • Genuinely curious and never done with learning on Operational and Information Technologies: operating systems, virtualization, databases, communication protocols like Modbus TCP/IP and IEC61850, networking, cybersecurity, programming and scripting languages, microgrid, …
  • Customer oriented with a commercial attitude and communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Focus on efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Analytical and programming skills.
  • Committed to travel abroad for projects & training (limited periods).
  • Drive license B.
