Automation Engineer - Kortrijk Region - Permanent Role

I’m currently working with an organisation that specialises in industrial machinery manufacturing for their clients in the agricultural industry, they are looking for an experienced automation engineer to pioneer the creation of a new engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and programming machines using CodeSys and Siemens PLCs.
  • Designing and implementing control systems for machinery and production processes.
  • Providing technical support to clients, including troubleshooting, training, and post-installation support.
  • Take a team lead role which involves including the purchasing of new machinery and installation of new production lines.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience.
  • Programming experience in CodeSys and Siemens PLCs.
  • Knowledge of electrical design.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery and systems is a plus.
  • Minimum work proficiency in Dutch speaking.
