Business Intelligence Tester

Context

Since several years, we work together with a very nice company in the city center of Brussels.

Business Intelligence Tester (m / f)

Function

The BI test aims to measure the quality of the solutions developed within the Business Intelligence department as part of the system tests and integration tests.

Its main tasks will consist of:

• Write, maintain and execute System and Integration test plans.
• Collaborate with the functional analysts and / or the test manager to validate that the planned tests sufficiently cover the risks and comply with the specifications.
• Document the scenarios, conditions and test data as well as the expected results in the templates and tools selected by Fédérale Assurance.
• Ensure that all tests are performed in the applicable environment, with the appropriate data set.
• Write, maintain and execute non-regression, performance, and security tests.
• Document the test results and communicate them to the development team and the test manager.
• Document the anomalies, analyze the test results with the appropriate actors. Feed the backlog of development teams accordingly.
• Produce test reports and communicate them to the various stakeholders.
• Analyze and report possible improvements to the application development cycle or test activities.
• Work as a tester in a BI development team working in the Agile framework (Scrum).
• Act as a test coach within an agile team.
• Provide advice on how other team members can perform and develop tests.

Profile

• You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• You have a good knowledge of analysis and test design methods (minimum two years of experience as a tester)
• You have a database-oriented technical background allowing you to be comfortable designing and executing test plans in a BI environment, ideally in SAS technologies: SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Viya, SAS Detail Data Store for Insurance.
• You have an active knowledge of Dutch and English.
