What is the purpose of this role?
To increase productivities by driving process improvements.
To ensure consistent practices are defined and rolled out across the entire SL network (warehousing, transport, call centres) and to also ensure that all functions (involved in selling, implementing & managing operations) follow & maintain standard practices.
Within the role you need to identify and drive innovations (new practices) to stimulate growth whilst also setting network productivity targets which drive EBIT growth and set global standards (best practices) which work for the region and setting.
What are the key responsibilities?
- Support new customer business onto the network, and migrate customers to standard operating model & systems
- Deliver continuous Improvement, First Choice and Quality, and own/drive global standardization across all partners, countries & regions
- Deliver EBIT and Gross Profit targets for the business across the network in line with the IBP
- Deliver SL services & value proposition efficiently & effectively across the network, ensuring smooth implementation of new contracts
- Lead or support customer workshops with regards to process improvement and innovation
- Interaction with senior level management in IT BD, CSS, PSS and OPS and the other regions
- Secure buy-in to changes across all other SL functions
- Provides functional support to Operations & Customer teams (Process advisor
- Manage the approval process around BRS/CRF and DD
Now here’s what we need from you;
- Experience working in an international logistics environment in transport and operations would be beneficial
- Experience working with 6Sigma, Kaizan or Lean processes
- A proven track record of delivering complex projects and programs
- The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers
- Excellent IT and analytical skills
