The Business Controller will support Group Controller and Consolidation Manager in their activities and play an important role in creating transparency in the business drivers and will work as a key stakeholder to senior management, but also the broader organization. The right profile has an analytical mindset and is used to working under pressure and to meet deadlines and has proven over time that he/she is able to keep a lot of different topics running at the same time. The candidate has a good business understanding from prior jobs and understands operational processes and the link they have to the financials.

Team.blue is looking for aBusiness controller to strengthen its Group Control and Consolidation team. In this role you will apply your expertise in controlling, accounting, consolidation techniques and IFRS

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of the KPI’s driving our business, as basis for taking sound Management decisions, acting as business partner
  • Drafting and streamlining the monthly Management reporting
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Assist in preparation of business cases
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for management
  • In charge of optimization of reporting, processes and guidelines leading to efficiency and effectiveness improvements
  • Assist in the integration of newly acquired companies in the respective financial processes
  • Follow up on the realization of synergies and other value adding plans within the company
  • Assist in maintaining the Accounting Manual, and monitor that this is accurately being applied across the Group
  • Take an active role in the further roll-out of IFRS 16 Leasing standard (external tool)
  • Take an active role in the further roll-out of IFRS 15 revenue recognition workstream
  • Assist in the monthly consolidation process and assist in yearly consolidation process in order to prepare Group financial statements

Required Skills And Experience
  • Master in Economics or Economics-related
  • At least 4-5 years of experience
  • You like to work in a team; you also reflect a positive attitude
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-driven and ambitious, able to work autonomously (flexible and stress resistant) in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • A synthetic mindset, able to translate complex information in a structured and comprehensive format
  • Highly skilled within Excel modelling and experience with BI tools is an asset
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of the organization (so including communication of technical or financial information to a non-technical audience in a concise way)
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment, providing accuracy and good eye for details
  • An open-minded spirit able to maintain good relationships in an international environment
  • The ideal candidate has knowledge of subscription base economics and has some affinity with Information Technology, analysis of operational cost base and cross charging
  • Experience with data tools (eg. Power BI, Tableau, ..) is an asset
  • Fluency in English is a must, all other languages (mainly Dutch) are valuable assets
