To support the"Real Estate South" division (Properties segment), our Finance department is seeking a Business Controller. This position is based in Brussels.
In this role, you work hand in hand with the "Real Estate South" Division Manager and, using your analytical expertise and ability to challenge results, you support him in the coordination of our activities.
You contribute to the development and performance of the division and of the Properties segment.
Involved in all financial issues, we count on you to come up with solutions: room for self-reliance and challenge!

The Division Manager counts on you to…
  • analyze, challenge and discuss the results with operational managers
  • actively participate to Division/Department meetings; reports results, explanations and establish forecasts
  • set the budget and medium-term plan in close contact with the managers
  • come up with ideas to improve the financial performance, reduce costs and optimize processes
  • in close cooperation with other Finance teams, design and implement dashboards
  • assist the Head of Business Control in Group reporting and participate in specific projects: harmonisation of the calculation of margins, allocation of costs, reduction of costs…

It is primarily your business controlling experience and your curious mind that will make the difference: being able to demonstrate a business-oriented approach, working closely with operations, will make the difference when it comes to rising to the challenge of overseeing a whole division and bring real added value!
Out of a total of around ten years of experience, you have:
  • at least 4 or 5 years in business control
  • if you do or have done external auditing, you have experience of viewing the balance sheet and the P&L
  • having been involved in an industrial sector is a plus in our eyes
Your other skills:
  • Microsoft Office: Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.) and Powerpoint
  • ideally, you are familiar with SAP or a similar ERP
  • ideally, you are familiar with Power BI or another reporting tool
  • you are analytical, field- and performance focused and have an open mind
  • you can work independently!
  • your communication skills enable you to convey your ideas and results easily and clearly. Your customer approach allows you to maintain good customer relations
  • you speak French fluently and your knowledge of Dutch is such that you can easily communicate with and understand your colleagues/customers
