Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Business Controllerfor a permanent position based in Brussels.

For an organization active in Aeronautics with head offices based in Brussels, we are currently looking to recruit Business Controller.

As Business Controller you will report to the Senior business Controller and act as his right hand:

• You will be an active member in the building of robust controlling processes and in the integration of businesses within the organization;
• You will focuson the full budgeting process and monthly reportings, making sure the monthly results in the reporting tools are accurate and reliable;
• You understand/challenge monthly results through discussions with local stakeholders and the business. You translate, comment and explain program and BU results to management;
• You assist the Senior business Controller in the preparation of monthly performance reports for the ExCom;
• You analyze investment requestsand advise on CAPEX/OPEX approvals;
• You act as a finance business partner within specific projects;
• You advise the Business on key operational issues and make recommendations to optimize business performances;
• You act as a strong communicator making sure stakeholders of your business area have access to the finance information they need.
• You explain BU results, performance/risks and opportunities to all levels of the organization, in order to show the impact each one of them can have on the (financial) performance;
• You play an active role in the improvement of the financial and business reporting processes, make sure the full complianceis met with group and business unit policies and internal control procedures;
• You will be in charge of end to end supervision of transformation project implementation.
  
  

The required profile for the Business Controllerposition:

• You have a Master’s Degree with a specific finance orientation or civil engineering;
• You have min 3 years of relevant experience in external audit of industrial companies within a Big4 or in business controlling in an industrial environment - ideally a combination of both;
• You are tech-curious;
• You have a buildup mentality that will enable you to create the new controlling structures throughout the organization;
• You are proactive, flexible, open-minded and able to work in a team as well as independently;
• You have an excellent critical mindset and analytical skills;
• Using SAP is not a problem for you combined with a strong command in Excel
• You have strong intercultural communication skills;
• You are Fluent in English and have a working knowledge in Dutchand French;
• You remain open to roll up your sleeves and work with a hands-on mentality.
