We are currently looking for a Business Development Director to join our fast-growing team in Basel, Switzerland in the Life Science sector .

Our Swiss office was established in 2016 to support our activities in public and private sectors, with the ambition to grow and expand our organization and presence in the region. We currently have more than 125 consultants between local and extended teams, working on various projects among our clients in Switzerland. Our areas of expertise are Business and IT Consulting, Technology and Advanced Services, IT implementation and maintenance, infrastructure services and BPO.

What would your role be:
Establish and execute a comprehensive account plan for each client.

Working with a global LS team to define the value proposition and service offerings for existing clients.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of all NTT DATA services for appropriate cross-sell opportunities.

Maintain high visibility within client organization.

Manage and develop key clients’ relationship leveraging on engagements with executives and leaders in the client’s organization.

Keep close personal contact to appropriate levels of NTT DATA clients, investigate their business needs and serve as main contact for entire organization.

Proactively works with global and regional account management in the pursuit of multi-country opportunities.

Build funnel of opportunities and deliver on revenue plans and forecast

Analyze potential opportunities and develop sales strategies for each account.

Ensure appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to the client.

Grows revenue by leveraging the full NTT DATA offerings and capabilities and identifying new business opportunities.

Coordinating RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, as needed.

Monitor actions and results against plans.

Represents the company to the client and the client to the company in all sales related activities.

Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing and finance

Monitors client satisfaction with contracted deliverables and works with sales management team and Client Service’s management to achieve and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a College or University a plus, related experience and/or training required.

15 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment delivering Consulting and IT programs.

At least 5 years’ experience as a Business Development Director in a pharmaceutical environment, especially working with NOVARTIS.

Fluent in English and proficient in either German or French, both written and spoken

Experience in closed sales in new business of large accounts, within the company or externally in a like industry and position.

Demonstrates/practices strategic selling excellence

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including training and presentation skills.

Proven ability to direct high level negotiations.

Experience in drafting and reviewing complex agreements.

Shows good negotiation skills and situational awareness
