The Mission
As pivotal component of Plug and Play Benelux Team and its growth strategy, this senior professional will lead the growth drive in Benelux targeting the top 200 companies to generate awareness, interest and ultimately revenue. Main focus will be capturing new accounts. Once business relationship has been established, she/he will have to cultivate and grow the relationships to further upsell and bring about positive references so as to generate new customers.
Plug and Play has become a world leader in innovation in other world and European markets such as the US, Japan, Germany & France. The long-term mission will consist in establishing Plug and Play as the leading innovation platform also in the Benelux She/He will report and work in close collaboration with the Senior Director Benelux, and together they will share this goal of making Plug and Play the leading innovation platform in the region
Key Responsibilities
After understanding inside out the PNP innovation process and value proposition to Corporate Clients, this senior professional will have the following responsibilities:
- Generate awareness and interest within the top 200 largest corporations in the region. Apart from your own initiatives to generate opportunities you will work together with central marketing/communication team to generate events and other communication to help produce awareness and interest.
- Develop and execute account plans, identifying key decision makers (mainly heads of innovation and C-suite executives) meeting them and building relationships with and ultimately convincing them about PNP value proposition for innovation
- Cultivate and grow relationships once innovation has started in an existing client to identify further opportunities for upselling and generate further positive references.
- This role is also responsible for harnessing and implementing the latest sales tools and techniques from our global PNP network
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success acquiring new accounts, selling consulting or professional services or technical or IT solutions/projects in a B2B context. We are thinking for example of a Top management consultant firm, a Big4 professional or IT/Technical professional with proven success acquiring new clients selling projects/complex solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths).
- “Hunter” character, highly motivated and committed, entrepreneurial character, strong self-drive and able to work with limited supervision. Results oriented.
- Well-connected and with relevant contacts (C-suite professionals) in the corporate and innovation ecosystem in Benelux.
- Positive and open mindset, energetic. Good listener, analytical character, Strong willingness to learn and improve.
- Passionate about sales & innovation. Enjoys technology and understanding latest developments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Language requirements: fluent in Dutch and English. French is an asset.
Future Career Path: As Plug and Play is a high growth and sales-oriented company, this role will have a strong visibility and impact by itself. Not only that, typically strong performers in this role may lead sales teams and may also become office leaders.
