The finance department has a strong reputation inside and outside Barco. As several colleagues have taken up internal new challenges and expanded their current scope of work, the Business Process Owner (Group controller) is looking for a Business Process Expertto become part of the finance business control team in Kortrijk.
Do you have a first experience in accounting or controlling, affinity with IT and a can-do attitude than you might be the colleague we are looking for!
Function
  • As a Business Process Expert for the Finance community, you will be responsible for understanding the business and underlying financial processes and help drive process and technology innovation (full scope Accounting, Controlling, Costing, Treasury...)
  • You will act as the connector between Finance and IT and drive further digital transformation within Finance, working on new or improvement tracks, leveraging the current systems while exploring new solutions and implementing best practices.
  • You will work with business stakeholders and the worldwide Finance community to understand current processes, examine issues, and perform root causes analysis, propose, test, and implement new ways of working to improve efficiency and performance.
  • You propose changes through the Business Process Owner and help in bundling, challenging and prioritizing change requests from the worldwide Finance community
  • You will contribute to the ERP upgrade towards SAP S4/HANA and implementation of ‘best practice’ systems and tools; train and support users, identify areas of improvement and promote respective solutions.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in accounting/Finance or IT with experience in Finance ERP modules
  • SAP S4/HANA Finance or consulting experience in Finance ERP will be an advantage
  • System savvy and affinity with IT
  • Critical mindset and able to deal with complexity
  • Well structured, good analytical and conceptual thinking. Ability to ensure progress and commitment to deadlines
  • Strong process-orientation including ability to define & analyse business process requirements and translate these into IT functional requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
  • Ability to proactively seek out various opinions and effectively collaborate with others
  • Ability to align people, business processes and systems with business strategy
  • Independent and proactive
  • Team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Barco sites across the world
