The Department
The EMEA Development Control department is part of the Daikin’s European Development Centre.
The responsibility of the EMEA Development Control department is to provide the necessary support for our development groups. This includes the following:
- planning and requirement setting for new development projects
- resource (budget, manpower) planning and follow-up
- monitor, visualise and report the planning and execution of development projects
- guarantee and improve internal processes and systems
- making of installation and operating instructions for our products
- learning and communication
The job location is Ostend, but you are also required to go to our Brussels office and/or Ghent office when needed. In 2024 the R&D department will move to a new building in Ghent. The job location will then be Ghent with occasional trips to Ostend or Brussels.
The role
As a Business Process Officer you constantly contribute to the optimisation of the processes and related systems within our EMEA Development Centre. As the European Development Centre is spread over five locations in Europe, it’s our challenge to standardise and optimise these processes and systems in each base.
You will consolidate and provide regular reports on the development progress (planning and execution) of running projects.
You will work as a project leader for the assigned projects including but not limited to:
- Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Submitting project deliverable and ensuring that they are in line with internal standards.
You will be mainly involved in the following domains:
- Development project execution (PLM) and the related Design Review process
- Development project management/dashboard and KPI
- Product master data management
- ISO management (audits, document control, …)
- Engineering change management (CAD/BOM/PDM)
Your profile
- You obtained a Master degree, preferably with a background in Business Analytics, Applied Economics or Business Engineering.;
- You have an analytical mindset with an interest in systems, planning, processes and IT;
- You have project/change management interest and/or skills;
- You don’t have a problem doing administrative tasks;
- Experience with specific software packages is not mandatory, but having knowledge of CAD, PDM, PLM is definitely an asset;
- You have excellent communication skills;
- You are fluent in English, knowledge of another European language is a plus;
- This function is also open for Young Graduates.
