Duties and Role:

  • Network service requests processes and technical support for the network configuration management
  • Ensure the update of network configuration management databases in accordance with the service request requirements and internal policies/priorities
  • Ensure the consistency of the maintained network Data bases, assess and align the compliance of network service requests with NATO standards and references
  • Release the circuit and service orders and follow their implementation when required
  • Interface to the CIS community for service configuration and request management issues
  • Support the NCI Agency NISC Network Services Fulfilment Cell in the daily work related to service configuration and management support;
  • Update existing, or create new, documentation for the maintained solutions, e. g. drawings, Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides
  • Support the provision of network services to NATO deployable/mobile CIS infrastructure in accordance with NATO standards
  • Provide the support of exercises and trainings throughout NATO territory as required

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Very good knowledge of Transmission and Telecommunication Systems Engineering and the associated aspects;
  • Extensive knowledge of implementing and operating network authentication and authorization systems and technologies;
  • A high level of knowledge of network, system and application level troubleshooting techniques;
  • Sound knowledge of communications protocols and practical experience of using diagnostic test equipment;
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols;
  • Working knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP);
  • Deep understanding of the concept of QoS in IP-Networks;
  • Very good knowledge of Policy Based Routing;
  • Shall have general understanding of transmission protocol MPLS-TE and collaboration services Voice/Video
  • Experience in Service Management processes for Incident Management Change Management and Service Fulfilment;
  • Experience in customer support, user incident handling;
  • Experience of preparing technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Certification level of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP);
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing technical manuals
