We are seeking a skilled Change Manager/Trainer to partner with us on the deployment of a managerial training program across industrial sites in Belgium, specifically in the Antwerp region. This role involves the adaptation, translation, and delivery of a pre-constructed training program tailored to the local linguistic and cultural context.

The program will be delivered over several months, with a structured schedule of training sessions aimed at enhancing managerial skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Adaptation and Translation (Q3-Q4 2024):

  • Linguistic and Cultural Adaptation: Work with the client’s Flemish site to adapt the training program to the local context, ensuring relevance and effectiveness
  • Content Review and Adaptation: Revise and adapt pre constructed training materials
  • Onboarding and Preparation: Participate in initial training discussions and onboard teams, including a 6-hour training session for two trainers
Training Delivery (Q4 2024 - Q3 2025):

  • Facilitate Training Sessions: Deliver approximately 27 training sessions, each spanning two consecutive days with a follow-up day two to three months later
  • Participant Engagement: Train up to 12 participants per session, using interactive methods to deepen their managerial skills
  • Session Planning: Coordinate with the local team to schedule and manage training sessions effectively
  • Catch-up and Additional Sessions: Plan and deliver potential catch-up sessions and sessions for newcomers as needed
  • Individual Coaching: Provide optional individual coaching sessions (2x1h per learner) as required
Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience in change management, particularly in industrial environments
  • Experience in delivering managerial training programs
  • Familiarity with both hard (organizational) and soft (cultural/communication) transformation processes
Skills:

  • Fluent in Dutch, with strong linguistic skills to adapt and translate training materials
  • Excellent facilitation and training delivery skills
  • Strong cultural awareness and ability to adapt content to local contexts
  • Ability to engage and train senior and junior managers in a dynamic, interactive manner
Attributes:

  • Highly autonomous, with the ability to manage sessions independently once onboarded
  • Down-to-earth and practical approach, with the ability to connect with industrial managers
  • Strong organizational skills to manage scheduling and deployment over an extended period

This is a part time role for an Independent (freelance) consultant with a start date in September 2024.

Presence at the client’s site in Antwerpen area will be required.
