For our restaurant in Brussels, we are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to wow guests by creating amazing dishes according to our standard recipes and specifications. The Chef de Partie is an essential part of our team, taking care of the preparation of various dishes and running service in an efficient, productive manner. Ultimately you will be responsible for consistently delivering stunning dishes and the The Avocado Show promise.

The Avocado Show was founded in 2017, and - what’s in a name - creates pretty healthy food made with/from avocados. With over 150,000 followers on Instagram and restaurants in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and many more countries to come, we are well on our way to take over the world and share our pretty healthy food with everyone!

What will you be doing?

  • You will prepare and produce high quality dishes - both design and taste wise - following the recipe and company standards, in collaboration with your colleagues.
  • You ensure product quality and adequacy at the cooking stations and ensure a clean work environment and kitchen equipment.
  • You enforce a strict health and hygiene standard according to HACCP.
  • You follow the guidance of the sous chef and head chef, and provide them with input in new ways of presentation, new dishes and optimizing the cooking process.
  • You independently run part of the kitchen.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You are full of energy and have a positive attitude that is contagious.
  • A specialist cook’s diploma or culinary schooling is an advantage, preferably SVH-cook (Social Hygiene Cook) training or similar.
  • You have prior experience in this type of role and have knowledge on HACCP.
  • You are a strong communicator and team player.
  • You have an eye for detail and are a perfectionist at heart.
  • You are flexible in working hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) and thrive in a pleasant chaos in which you like to create order by following procedures.
  • You LOVE this brand and have clear motivation to be a part of it.
  • You are able to communicate clearly in English (additional languages are a plus).
