Our Client, a specialist in both perm and temporary staffing services, is active nationally, offering added value to both candidates and companies. They are part of a larger international group.
They are currently seeking a dynamic and experiencedChief Operating Officer (COO) to join the local executive leadership team. The COO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, but first and foremost driving further growth, client focus and satisfaction as as well as strategic performance initiatives.
This role is critical in ensuring the company’s continued success and growing their position in the staffing industry in Belgium, in line with the ambitions of the group.
Function description
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to all operational functions, including recruiting, client services, and administrative support.
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company’s long-term growth strategy.
- Identify opportunities for diversification and expansion into new markets or service areas.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Foster and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring exceptional service delivery and addressing client needs proactively.
- Partner with sales and business development teams to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Monitor and optimize operational performance metrics, such as time-to-fill, client satisfaction, and employee productivity.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Manage the operational budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
- Monitor financial performance and work with the CFO to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant industry regulations and legal requirements.
- Mitigate operational risks by implementing appropriate policies and procedures.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, or a related field
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles within the staffing industry
- Strong understanding of staffing and workforce management best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving operational excellence and growth.
- Financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and achieving results.
- Strong customer oriented profile - strong aim for customer satisfaction
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of French and English (oral and written).
Offer

Organizational and departmental definition
You will report to the General Manager for Belgium, but with a strong dotted line to the international organization.
You will lead a team of 30 - 35 people (in)directly.
