In our Headoffices in Düsseldorf and Brussels we develop new trends whilst focusing on sustainability along the value chain of our products.

The role holder can be either based in Vilvoorde (Belgium) or Düsseldorf (Germany)

This role will focus on delivering the new sustainability 2028 strategy for circular products. The main objective is to drive the implementation of initiatives that support circular economy objectives within C&A teams, leading the sourcing, buying and retail functions in the development of circular products.

Your Responsibilities At C&A
  • Support all departments in the development and management of the circular fashion strategy incl. the implementation of C&A’s strategy for products that are designed for their next life and products sold through circular business models
  • Act as the source for industry-leading future ideas in circularity and provide input regarding market trends and opportunities through the use of an effective information network
  • Work closely with Fashion For Good and other innovation platforms to Identify the right innovators, implement pilots and scale innovation advancing circularity.
  • Train and educate cross-functional teams on circular economy topics to transfer skills and expertise within the buying and sourcing organisation
  • Serve as the key liaison with the transparency data team, ensuring performance data is measurable, managed and reported in a timely fashion.
  • Support verification of the legitimacy of sustainability and circularity claims in consumer facing communication conducted by the marketing and corporate communication team
  • Maintain strong relationships and foster industry collaboration with external stakeholders related to circularity - e.g. Ellen McArthur Foundation, Fashion for Good
  • Represent C&A at sustainability related events for circularity, ensuring C&A maintains position as an industry leader for circular fashion
What We Expect Of You
  • At least 3 years of work experience focusing on circular design, supply chains and business models
  • Experience in the fashion, apparel, or textile industries desired but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including excellent stakeholder management
  • Deep personal interest in, and passion for, sustainability topics
  • Ability to influence and motivate people to change current practices through strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly; research, recommend, and integrate best practices and methods to improve current programs
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and to proactively drive multi-collaborative projects and deadlines in a pragmatic way
