New Era Technology is a global IT integrator with 1,500+ employees delivering Collaboration, Cloud, Data Networking, Security, Large Venue, and Corporate AV and Managed Service Solutions to more than 7,500 customers.

We currently have a need for aCisco Voice Engineersupporting a Global Network Infrastructure environment. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in "business as usual" operational routines, project rollouts and ensure all activities are carried out in a timely manner according to industry best practices and "in house" processes to deliver high-quality services to our customers. Global Financial Services, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer interface and customer satisfaction skills
  • Plan, execute & document project activities and "business as usual" tasks through to resolution
  • Manage and communicate change scope and schedules
  • Resolve and document service request activities using ITSM ticketing systems
  • Ability to work shifts and hours based on the requirements of the NOC and its customers
  • Help coordinate NOC engineers & daily operations
  • Assist with project rollouts as assigned by the customer and/or line manager
  • Act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd level NOC staff to help isolate and resolve voice network issues and complex service requests
  • Interface with OEM TAC (Cisco TAC) whenever required
  • Provide coaching / mentoring for 1st and 2nd level NOC staff
  • Work with GCI Global Partner Management for partner engineer vetting
  • Assist with transitioning new managed services customers into operations
  • Provide input for process development, process improvement and maintaining voice deployment standards

Skills required:

  • Strong networking & PC knowledge required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage customer problems
  • Must be an effective communicator
  • Must have the ability to multi-task (within reason)
  • CCIE Collaboration certification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge of the Cisco Unified Communications portfolio required
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with Cisco CME, CUCM, CUC, IM&P, Voice Gateways, CUBE, Expressway, Jabber (local and MRA), UCCX and Finesse
  • Familiar with the use of Cisco RTMT, TranslatorX or similar trace analysis tools
  • Familiar with network monitoring and management tools
  • Experience with Ribbon/ Sonus Session Border Controllers is considered a plus
