Duties

Serves as the first point of contact for the JAS/Information System Center. Provides customer helpdesk and systems administration support for computer, mobile, multimedia and DVC systems. Provides desk-side support for CAA customers, including escorting and IT infrastructure work in cleared areas. As needed, escalates highly complex issues to ISC deputy network managers for resolution.

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:


At least two years of progressively responsible experience in the information technology or related field with at least one year in a help desk or similar support role.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:


Must have a good knowledge of a variety of technical subjects, operating systems, office applications, hardware maintenance, cloud services, etc. Must be knowledgeable in the maintenance and use of a wide range of equipment such as PCs, laptops, printers, and other such devices. A strong knowledge of internet, telecommunications and local networks is also required. Must develop a functional knowledge of Department regulations and security requirements related to systems and information security. Must have good organizational skills. Must maintain awareness of technology industry trends, regulatory changes that impact use of technology, and security changes that may impact embassy operations. Must keep abreast with the latest developments in mobile computing and stay current with MRA policies.

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge in English. This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance for unescorted access to CAA and escorting uncleared people. Must be proficient to diagnose faulty devices for software and/or hardware problems by having a good knowledge and experience of the different-build-in applications on the different types of hardware in order to assist customers. Must be able, at all time, to work under pressure and listen carefully to the customer’s description of the problem and make sure to assess the issue and find the good resolution for all situations mentioned above. ISC is a high speed multitask office that emphasizes great customer service. Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure effective teamwork and sharing of information. Driver’s license B required. Must be able to Be able to comply with Uniform Service Standards (USS).

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
