The RoleYou will be a Data Analyst in the newly created Data & Analytics Center of Excellence of Industrial Air Division. In The Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, we have the vision to provide relevant, reliable, and actionable data insights to the right people across our division at the right time. We leverage the modern data stack built by CTIS (IT) and we specialize in the datamining of the datasets produced and consumed by Industrial Air.Atlas Copco Industrial Air is one of the largest industrial equipment providers in the world. Our engagement with a diverse customer base and a vast product offering create a treasure of B2B data. As a Data Analyst you will spot opportunities for improvements in our strategic decision making and our business processes. You will interact with various business experts from Marketing, Sales, Finance and HR and you will be on a mission to pioneer a data-driven approach in the way we do business. By leveraging the power of data and the latest analytical technologies, you make sure we maintain our leading position in each market and segment we compete in.Responsibilities
  • You will develop a deep understanding of your data domain. You become an expert in the 4Vs (Volume, Variety, Velocity, Veracity) of the data assets utilized by our operational and business apps.
  • You understand our customers’ needs and the value chain of our business processes.
  • You define and execute end-to-end analytical initiatives. You unlock exceptional business performance by providing previously unknown and potentially actionable insights to your business stakeholders.
  • You will guide Data Engineers in creating the ETL pipelines that serve your analysis.
  • You will critically select the data modelling techniques that serve the purpose. You are comfortable with techniques like Frequent Pattern Analysis, Classification, Regression, Clustering, Anomaly detection, Trend and Evolution Analysis.
  • You will evaluate the identified patterns from various angles and with various metrics (accuracy, error rate, ROC curve, etc.)
  • You know that analysis and modelling are only half of the job. You are an excellent presenter of your results. You adapt the message to your audience, you know how to choose an effective visual and you follow storytelling principles.
  • Where needed, you crystallize your results in standard reports and dashboards. You will guide Power BI developers in creating visualization solutions or integrating new elements in existing ones.
What we expect of you?
  • MSc in Data Analytics or MSc in Business and Economics with a focus on data analytics.
  • You are competent with Data Exploration tools (SQL, Excel, Pandas).
  • You are competent with Data Visualization tools (Power BI) or Data Visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Experience with statistical analysis in R or Python.
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks (Spark), SAP BW and Microsoft Purview is a plus.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and an eye for detail.
  • You communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of business and IT stakeholders.
  • Strong customer focus, you establish good relationships with your internal customers, you care about their success.
  • You challenge the status-quo, you champion a data-driven approach across all functions and levels of the organization.
  • You are passionate about the Data & Analytics field, and you stay on top of your game by following the latest trends through seminars, workshops, and conferences.
