DATA ANALYST CINEMA – MICROSOFT POWER BI

The Data Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business analytics dashboards using Microsoft BI technologies for Barco’s Cinema business division. This role will require a deep understanding of business data analysis, data visualization, data modelling and workspace governance.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for business stakeholders.

Data management & Modelling

  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to integrate various data sources into Power BI
  • Perform data cleansing and transformation tasks (ETL) to prepare data for analysis
  • Implement and maintain semantic models to ensure data integrity and performance optimization
Data analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets from various sources to provide actionable insights
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making processes
Data visualization

  • Design intuitive and visually appealing data visualizations that communicate key business metrics and insights
  • Use Power BI to create interactive and user-friendly dashboards that allow stakeholders to explore data independently
Workspace governance & Security

  • Develop and enforce governance policies for Power BI workspaces to ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices
  • Manage user access and permissions within Power BI to maintain data security and privacy
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and corporate data policies
Data literacy

  • Work closely with the business teams to understand their data needs and requirements
  • Provide training and support to end-users to help them effectively utilize Power BI reports and dashboards
Continuous improvement

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data analytics and Power BI
  • Identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Propose and implement best practices for data visualization and analysis
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Certification in Power BI or related technologies is a plus
