Application Engineer

Joinour passionate and dedicated team to design tailor-made solutions for the most critical applications in various industries: Space, Energy, Nuclear, Industrial Process, Aerospace and Life Science.

As part of the Metal Seals Technical Team you will be working on a large variety of applications and will take a leading role in developing engineered solutions, based on the different product categories from the Omniseal SolutionsTM portfolio to meet the customer needs.

Some of yourmain activities :

• Development of tailor-made engineered solutions for customer specific technical challenges.
• Interaction with the customer and internal teams (Sales, Internal Sales, Process Engineering, Quality ...)
• Partner with key competency experts both internally & externally (design, testing, materials, simulation) to provide customers with state of the art qualification methods and analytics.
• Conduct 2D and 3D structural simulations of new products and designs

• Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science or Chemical Engineering
• 2 to 3 years of experience in design and mechanical engineering
• Ambition to grow into a business development role
• General Engineering skills combined with an analytical and creative behavior
• Digital skills (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Simulation, MS Office, ...)
• Material knowledge (Metallurgy)
• Process knowledge (Welding, metal forming, machining processes, electroplating)
• Project management
• Language knowledge: English and French – fluent, Dutch is a plus
