We, Integrated Renewable Solutions, are looking for an Automation Engineerwith experience, to define control Software and Hardware, to design the communication between different controllers, to define the functionalities at the site controllers and to investigate performance issues.

Before or during the execution of the project, as an Automation engineer, you will:
  • Do Selection of appropriate hardware and software technology for program development (coding language, software packages) and you will define automation components for purchasing (Bill of material)
  • Design an automation topology including communication of all control components at the site (battery management system, energy conversion system, site controller, battery chargers) including the communication with higher level, for example with energy management system.
  • Make functional description and maintenance procedures, or manuals related to the automation
  • Supervise programming and technical implementation of communication, stability and operational safety
  • Define communication tests during so called equipment’s acceptance at the manufacturing plant, or during commissioning and the warranty period, or during operation and maintenance.
  • Document of the solution and progress of the work and you may Program PLC or others systems, depending on your experience
Organization and responsibilities

You will work on new or existing projects carried out by John Cockerill Renewables, and you will support the Operations, maintenance and tests in R&D activities

You will be Working individually but also in cooperation with project or proposal teams, with Software programmers, electrical engineers and the EMS (energy management system) team. You will be supported by IRS (Integrated renewable solutions) specialists.

You are at ease in international contacts and relations and You may be available for temporary assignments of commissioning abroad.

Profile

You have Master’s degree within industrial automation, electrical engineering (civil or industrial) or similar field and knowledge of hardware and software engineering

You have Knowledge or Experience with Automation hardware and Software’s systems like Schneider, Siemens, Beside that Twinsoft (for TBox PLC) and eWON suite knowledge is an advantage.

you have or you are willing to gain the knowledge of Batteries, micro-grids, Chargers, CHP (engines and/or gas turbines), software platform for the maintenance

You are fluent in English, and French and proficient in MS Office

Localisation : Seraing (Belgique)

Homeworking : Maximum 2 days a week (in agreement with the manager and the team) after an onboarding period of 3 months
