We are looking for a Bachelor Electromechanical Engineering for our prestigious partner Clemaco in Oostend.
Clemaco is a family business based in Ostend and has been a partner of the Belgian Navy since 1964. Activities mainly take place at the naval base in Zeebrugge, where the teams take care of the maintenance of the ships of the Belgian army fleet, including minehunters. The company also works for the Dutch Navy and the Belgian police and customs. 90% of Clemaco’s annual turnover (EUR 11 million in 2019) is generated by its assignment for the navy and this with 150 employees.

You will work within the ’ Naval Maintenance ’ department of Clemaco Contracting nv. part of Serco nv. They provide a total maintenance service for various types of naval vessels for the Belgian and Dutch Navy.
You will have the opportunity to take care of a variety of maintenance and repair activities.

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be given the opportunity to work out studies with regard to changes on board the minehunters.
You will be working in the logistics study bureau at the naval base in Zeebrugge that carries out the following tasks:
- Investigating the feasibility of submitted files regarding modifications on board Navy vessels.
- Drawing up files regarding changes on board of the ships of the Belgian Navy, both mechanical and electrical.
- Follow-up of the modifications to be carried out on board the minehunters of the Belgian and Dutch Navy.
- You are an operator of a 3D printer to make spare parts for the maintenance of ships.
- Follow up of new technologies regarding 3D printing.
- During your induction period you will learn step by step how to execute the different tasks within the engineering office.
- You see the theoretical background and can quickly apply it in practice.
- You follow the necessary safety training courses and thus obtain the required qualification to job in complete safety.
- You will be trained for the equipment on the new minehunters of the Belgian and Dutch Navy, including the latest drone applications.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics or equivalent through experience.
- You are a ’Team player’, flexible, eager to learn, motivated and not afraid of a new challenge.
- Both school leavers and 55+ year olds are welcome in our company.
