For our office in Lommel we are looking for:
The Business Development Manager Europe is responsible for helping IPL obtain better brand recognition, financial growth and provide long-term value. This role is critical in the delivery of both new proprietary, custom product launches and existing product line within the markets we serve today as well as new targeted markets.
Job overview and key duties:
- Find and qualify new sales leads and respond to RFP’s
- Work closely with the market development manager to create customized sales presentations
- Present customized sales presentations to prospective customers and key stakeholders
- Face to face meetings and visit potential new customer plants
- Build long-standing and successful relationships with new customers
- Expand on customer contacts within key organizations
- Develop ways to deliver and improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty
- Cultivate positive interactions and relationships with key account managers and executives to evaluate sales strategy and results
- Identify and close new business and expand existing business opportunities
- Prepare and negotiate sales contracts for projects in development
- Execute sales objectives
- Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Execute store checks for market and packaging knowledge
- Participate in networking, industry events and associations
- Collaborate with the marketing and R&D teams in the development of new product ideas and improvements
- Strong understanding of IPL’s products and services
What you will bring to the role:
- 10+ years proven experience in business development role
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Fluent in English & Dutch. Other languages such as German or French are a plus.
- Rigid packaging and Salesforce knowledge a plus
- Ability to travel as needed up to 75%
