Montana Aerospace , headquartered in Switzerland and listed on the Zürich stock exchange, is a highly-vertically integrated leading manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operationJob DescriptionThe Buyer selects and manages suppliers for products and services, in order to contribute to the Asco business objectives, respecting the Procurement and Commodity strategy, maintaining a corporate approach at all times.
  • Responsible for management and selection of the suppliers
  • Perform risk assessment in the supplier selection, development and serial production process in order to define the appropriate mitigation plan.
  • Manage costs, and propose and follow through savings initiatives
  • Control and improve suppliers’ quality performance in co-operation with the Procurement Quality Engineer
  • Control and improve suppliers’ delivery performance in co-operation with the Supplier Operation Manager
  • Assist as necessary other departments in resolving problems with suppliers under her/his control
  • Participate to budget activities in order to support elaboration and respect of company’s budget
  • Be aware of supplier’s core business and technological competences in order to understand supplier’s position within the market
  • Have perfect knowledge of contractual terms in order to understand, summarize and pass on the relevant information in the contract to the rest of the organization
Education:Degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering, or Commercial EngineeringLanguages:English is a must, Dutch and/or French are preferable, German is a plus.Skills / Experience
  • The candidate ideally has a first successful professional experience in a procurement function (2 - 3 years)
