Duties & Role:

  • Contribute to complex CIS Security remediation activities for NISC managed CIS
  • Conduct IT infrastructure remediation activities in collaboration with NISC Service Delivery Managers and Subject Matter Experts
  • Apply approved security configurations (hardening settings) for IT infrastructure elements;
  • Advise NISC technical staff on best practice with regards to daily security tasks; develop and deliver CIS Security awareness presentations for system administrators;
  • Plan, deploy, and configure a variety of hardware, software, and security products;
  • Perform other duties as may be required

Requirements

Skill, Knowledge & Experience:

  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of computer and communication security, networking, and the vulnerabilities of modern operating systems and applications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and proven experience with virtualization technologies (vmware), containers orchestration (kubernetes), and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with implementation and integration of CIS Security protective measures in Active Directory based environments
  • Experience with Cyber Hygiene and the Critical Security Controls for effective cyber defence
  • Practical hands-on experience in system and network administration
  • Ability to investigate and analyse complex scenarios and solve problems in innovative ways
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and successfully articulate complex issues to a variety of audiences and teams
