Cloud Security Engineer

In this role, you will be collaborating with the Site Reliability Engineers, the Developers and the IT Support Engineers to provide security solutions for our Cloud-based software platform and other Cloud-based IT infrastructure. You will be part of the Site Reliability Engineering team and will also support the IT team in all their security activities.

Responsibilities

• Enhance overall platform & IT security by using modern tools to design, test, and improve existing products, and implementing security-focused solutions to new problems
• Collaborate with talented engineers to find elegant and manageable secure solutions to new and complex product needs
• Responsible for security enhancement of the platform architecture
• Implement and maintain tools that manage the secure infrastructure
• Be an advocate of the DevSecOps culture and principles
• Assist the CISO by providing relevant technical expertise
• Responsible for cybersecurity incidence response
• Assist troubleshoot and solve security problems in production and development environments
• Handle day-to-day tasks and other routine maintenance as required including Quality Assurance processes (DRP, Backups, pentest, security restrictions)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or MS in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Linux and its administration
• Knowledge and experience of main Cloud providers such AWS, Azure, etc.
• Knowledge in networking (Routing/Switching, VLANs, Firewalls, DNS and Load Balancers)
• Knowledge of the following security tools: nmap, OpenVAS, Burp Suit, SQLmap, Metasploit, Kali
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and OWASP
• Good knowledge and preferably experience in a broad range of security technologies including Firewalls, DLP, Certificate Management, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, Anti-malware and vulnerability management
• Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats, current best practices, treat modelling and risk mitigation techniques
• Ability to understand application vulnerabilities in a high-level language such as Go, Python and/or Java
• Must love dogs.
