Your Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Co-shape the future go-to-market strategy and promotional activities for the Retail business in Belgium together with the other members of the Retail Leadership Team
  • Optimize our commercial pharmacy and chain offering (incl. sales and distribution channels) together with the Sales, finance, business operations and supply teams
  • Maximize customer satisfaction, trust and loyalty by ensuring smooth operations (especially in our pharmacy business) in close collaboration with our supply, business operations, medical, marketing and sales teams. For example: ensure resolving of key customer pain points, such as, timely credit note payment by finance function, pro-active communication on stock-outs and potential alternatives
  • Enable growth by ensuring close alignment between expected market demand and supply, and act as SPOC with the supply chain department. Hence being at the heart of critical sales-supply processes, including taking needed actions and ensuring timely communication to team members (BU and supply) and customers
  • Drive growth and/or efficiency by developing and leading strategic projects and commercial initiatives, in close collaboration with all key actors for our Business Unit, including:
    • Identifying short- and long-term opportunities by monitoring the market (e.g. competitor stock-outs), capturing field force / customer feedback, and investigating undeveloped business areas
    • Assessing, pitching and implementing opportunities (e.g. developing new markets) based on business case, customer feedback and strategic fit
    • Following up / assessing impact of executed projects and initiatives to measure success, derive learnings, and potentially implement adjustments
    • Improving processes, collaboration and communication to ensure success our goals are met
  • Closely collaborate with Global/Europe to implement relevant best practices in Belgium
  • Support Planning and Business Review preparation and ad-hoc requests from global/region/cluster
  • Drive and support the Sandoz culture and values
  • Guarantee an ethical approach and a strong implementation of the commercial guidance in respect of compliance
Essential Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor degree in science, marketing, business (administration) or communication
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position (in pharma, OTC or FMCG)
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical background (Generics is a plus)
  • Sales & Marketing experience (locally or globally)
  • High learning agility
  • Languages: fluent English + fluent Dutch and/or French
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to create strong working relationships with colleagues from all departments
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Business acumen and KPI management skills
  • P&L understanding and management
  • Excellent commercial understanding
