Job Description

We are looking for a (junior) computer vision and data analysis engineer with strong background in computer vision and image processing algorithms. As an imaging engineer you will be responsible for the automating, compiling the results by running our image analysis pipeline on large data sets from our novel camera system. Your main assignment will be to follow up on availability of new algorithms for the image analysis pipeline, follow up on availability of new data and generating results. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of electronics electrical engineers, optical engineers, bio-physicists, fluidic designers and other imaging specialists. To develop algorithms & software for analysis of images and videos of cells from microfluidic devices;

  • To execute our imaging software pipeline on large data sets.
  • Compile results and in a consistent manner.
  • To coordinate availability of updated algorithms or updated data sets.
  • To debug image analysis pipeline where needed and discuss with image algo dev team.
  • Interact with research team & lab technicians to derive need for result generation.

Candidate Description

  • You have a Professional Master’s degree in Informatics or equivalent through experience.
  • You have knowledge of image processing & computer vision algorithms and techniques.
  • You have experience in running algorithms on large data sets and compiling results.
  • You have experience with Python (Matlab is a plus).
  • Experience with standard imaging processing libraries (e.g. Open CV) is a plus.
  • You are structured, precise and care about details.
  • You attach importance to software robustness, appearance and user friendliness.
  • You are very customer-oriented.
  • You are a self-motivated team player.
  • You are fluent in English and have good communication skills.
