The Department International Projects, part of the Division Energy Transition & Integrated Solutions, located in Grimbergen (Brussels), is looking for an experienced Contract & Risk Manager to realize our ever challenging objectives.
International Projects is the reliable partner for the construction of large and complex multi-technical installations. We serve top rated companies in Western Europe, active in petrochemical, pharma, power generation, tank storage,… with modular construction as well as stick build installation.
You will work at our offices in Grimbergen and travel if needed.

  • as a Contract Manager you will be involved in all contractual briefings, issues, risks, processes and procedures related to the engagement contract. You will rely on and exchange with other contract managers of EQUANS
  • your strong communication skills enable you to develop close working relationships with the Tendering, Project Management and Purchasing teams. You maintain a positive business relationship with the client’s contract management team by regularly communication and coordinating with them and engage with the client to resolve issues even before they arise
  • one of your main responsibilities is to ensure that the project management staff is fully aware of their contractual obligations and the commercial impacts of their actions. In particular you conduct contract briefings, advise in responding to contractual queries and assist proactively in the resolution of the issues. You monitor, manage and/or mitigate contractual risks. You advise on the contractual implications of proposed changes and ensure that any contractual changes that result from change requests are drafted and approved by the client
  • you establish and maintain the engagement’s contractual compliance processes and procedures, identifying non-compliance issues and supporting their resolution. You assure that all legal documents are correctly maintained and updated

Your talents

  • master degree in law or economy
  • solid experience in contract management. Knowledge of FIDIC and LOGIC model contracts is essential
  • experience in international (Western Europe) context is a bonus (BE, NL, LUX, DE, FR)
  • strong affinity with managing technical/legal/financial projects
  • excellent analytical skills and written communication are your strong points
  • hands-on mentality and very business minded
  • team player, yet you are able to work independently and duly manage your workload and priorities
  • you communicate easily and efficiently with your colleagues, clients and third parties
  • fluent in English and Dutch, with a thorough knowledge of the legal vocabulary, knowledge of French or German is a bonus
