In this context, we seek a Corporate Financial Controller, to oversee the financial reporting at our headquarters, located in Leuven.

Qualifications & Experience

As Corporate Financial Controller of Materialise you will lead a small team of experts in the consolidation and corporate reporting department, steer professionals across the global finance organization, and report to the CFO of Materialise.

Responsibilities
  • Consolidation and Reporting
    • Preparation of the quarterly and year-end reporting to the market
    • Preparation and various analyses of corporate management reporting
  • Corporate Planning and Analysis
  • Monitoring Consolidation and Reporting controls (SOX)
  • Master of Standards and Methodology
    • Master data governance
    • Accounting manual and IFRS interpretation
    • Analytical structure
    • Reporting standards
  • Guidance over tools and system structure, with involvement in the implementation of our new ERP
  • Transfer pricing policies
  • Assist the CFO in global tax structuring

Requirements
  • Master’s in economics, with specialization in accounting;
  • More than 5 years of experience in a similar position in a (preferably stock-listed) multi-national environment;
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS, technical consolidation (Cognos Controller) and reporting experience (BI-tools, TM1);
  • Fluent in English, Dutch (German and French are a plus), with excellent communication skills: articulate, persuasive and able to communicate difficult and complex matter in a straightforward and transparent manner;
  • An assertive team-player;
  • A tenacious goal-getter with a good dose of common sense and pragmatism;
  • (wo)man of action, autonomous, able to reach deadlines, and manage priorities;
  • Analytical mindset, detail-oriented without losing track of the big picture, curious by nature;
  • Adheres to the highest ethical and professional standards.
