General Summary

Tech Data Analytics & IOT solutions mission is to help our customers and vendors make Analytics & IOT simple so they can seize the Intelligent Dataopportunity much faster. We do this by leveraging our technology partner ecosystem to provide aggregated, end-to-end, ready-to-deploy solutions with best-of-breed components, ranging from fulfillment and secure connectivity of “things” to data aggregation, analytics and applications.

This specialized technical role is responsible for supporting the development and sales cycle of Tech Data’s solution portfolio, working with SIs, MSPs, VARs, Telco’s and general resellers across a number of industry verticals, from reseller acquisition, technical enablement as well as pre- and post-sales solution support.

The role is to engage and enable the Partner technical and sales team and jointly engage on opportunities with the end customer. He/she advises resellers on how place technology in the context of specific business issues to resolve. The role requires a strong technical capability around the technology and the market as well as the broader Ecosystem in the Data Journey.

Key Characteristics

• Works closely with Local Data & Analytics teams in the BeNeLux, Iberia and Portugal to support technical opportunity validation and pre-sales technical support.
• Helps design and validated architectures for specific use cases and enables Tech Data customers to be able to deploy and support Data & IoT solutions at scale.
• Works with country teams offering valuable experience across the full cycle including scoping, planning, process diagrams, workshops, development, managing 3rd parties and testing schedules.
• Supports the implementation of demo and proof-of-concept (PoC) and proof-of-value (PoV) solutions for our customers by incorporating latest technologies and integration with partner components.
• Facilitates the knowledge transfer of new offerings to the respective local sales and services teams for market positioning and communication.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Partners with local Tech Data sales teams to drive joint opportunity development & management, technical skills development and promoting market successes. Delivers deep-dive functional and hands-on technical and certification training to sales teams and partners, supports customer visits, industry events via presentations, webinars and enablement sessions, both physical and online.
• Evangelizes Tech Data’s value proposition for Data & IoT: Partners with the IoT Business Development & Solutions team to identify opportunities to maximize revenues and define vertical solutions that capitalize on these opportunities. Prepares compelling presentations that conceptualize Tech Data’s solutions end-to-end.
• Delivers partner enablement methodology & workshops: Delivers/Supports Tech Data’s partner Enablement and Vendor Certification.
• Expands Tech Data’s Digital Services Offering: Works closely with Commercial Operations, Solution architects and key partners to integrate additional digital services to Tech Data’s current framework.

Experience, Skills and/or Abilities Required:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, skill, and/or ability required.

• +5 years of experience with a proven record of successfully conceptualizing, designing, and delivering end-to-end hardware/software/networking architecture solutions around Data Life Cycle management and familiarity with software tools in the space, in particular with Hyperscalers and or Analytics providers.
• Experience in architectures and technologies surrounding Data & IoT (i.e. sensors, connectivity, data protocols, Data platforms, Big Data, Analytics, RPA, ML, AI integration and soon .
• Demonstrated experience working in one of the following industry verticals: Smart Manufacturing/Factory, Smart Buildings, Smart Cities, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing or Process industry.
• Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment; able to work constructively under stress and pressure.
• Proficiency in English.
• EU-Citizenship or working permit required.

Working Conditions

• Normal, professional office environment
• Travel outside of home country up to 25%
• Preferred location: Barcelona/Madrid, Milan (IT), Bodegraven (NLD) or Ternat (Belgium) possible.
