Responsibilities

  • Ensure that data is managed according to specific principles, guidelines, and roles/responsibilities designed to maintain high standards of data quality, integrity, and protection
  • Document data usage, improve accessibility, promote usage, and safeguard data within designated perimeters.
  • Define and implement controls and remediation actions for data quality, integrity, and protection.
  • Communicate the importance of data governance principles and activate Operational Managers when necessary.
  • Monitor the execution of controls and remediation, utilising Data Governance systems effectively.
  • Contribute to the bank’s overarching Data Strategy, aligning with corporate priorities and driving technological advancements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in data management within the financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and Data Hub utilisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks related to data quality and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strategic thinker with the capacity to translate data strategies into actionable plans.
