Twipe is a mediatech scale-up based in Leuven, Belgium working with leading newspaper publishers in Europe and the US to grow their digital subscribers and sustain quality journalism. We offer cloud based digital edition publishing, analytics, and personalization solutions. Our innovative solutions accelerate the growth of newspapers including Le Monde, The Telegraph and the various titles of Mediahuis (De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad, De Telegraaf,…).

To inspire our industry, we gather and analyze industry knowledge and share insights with our growing Future of News publishers’ community.

Why are we hiring?

As Twipe is steadily growing with more and more projects coming our way, we now have room to scale our Solutions Delivery Team. This team needs strong leadership to customize and integrate our solutions with more efficiency and quality together with an enthusiastic team. As a Team Leader - Solutions Delivery, you oversee a team of 6-8 people that will onboard new customers and be responsible for creating apps, transforming content, integrating API endpoints, setting up databases, testing software components and managing release in production.

What do you do?

  • You manage a team of 6 to 8 FTEs including developers, analysts and work planners
  • You’re responsible for this team’s development in skills but also growth in size with hiring competencies
  • You foster strong teamwork
  • You interactively introduce and improve state-of-the-art delivery processes, creating playbooks, checklists, kick-off templates, etc.
  • You implement automation solutions to increase efficiency
  • You setup self-service solutions for our customers to avoid repetitive tasks on our end
  • You ensure that deliveries are done on time, with the best quality we can provide and within the budgetary scope defined
  • You’re a sparring partner to our developers and don’t hesitate to challenge them
  • You manage customer dependencies in close collaboration with our Customer Success team and product dependencies together with our Product team

Your track record

  • You have at least 8 years of experience in a software delivery environment
  • You have a strong track record in people management, managing 1-to1s, coaching, performance review, etc.
  • You know how to grow a team in skills and size, with experience being a hiring manager
  • You are experienced in technical implementation, installation and configuration.
  • You have implemented state-of-the-art processes, workflow and optimization in your previous endeavors
  • You have a deep knowledge of Agile delivery principles
  • You are used to coordinate cross-team projects and can work in close collaboration with different stakeholders
  • You are tech-savvy with a good understanding of coding (C#, JavaScript, React Native) and show technical capabilities in our tools (JIRA, Elastic Search, Kibana, etc.)
  • You have good knowledge in SQL
