Design Quality Engineer (DQE)

Location Belgium

6 month contract (possible extension)

Are you passionate about quality and innovation? We are looking for a Design Quality Engineer (DQE) to join our dynamic team in Belgium. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality standards for our cutting-edge products throughout their development lifecycle.

Your Role:

  • Drive Design for Quality (DfQ) principles throughout the product development process.
  • Act as the voice of quality, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Support risk management activities, including DFMEA and PFMEA reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to implement quality improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Define and monitor key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in design quality, product development, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other relevant quality standards.
  • Experience with FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch/French is a plus).
