Role Summary:
The PGS Digital Business Analyst will support Digital related strategic initiatives at the Puurs site by working with site stakeholders to understand business requirements and collaborating with the Digital Solution Centers to determine solution fit within the current systems portfolio. The position will engage with the site business to identify and define scope for continuous improvement initiatives and related solutions that can be leveraged across the PGS Plant Network.
The PGS Digital Business Analyst will lead specific site projects and assist with implementation of global standard solutions at the site. The position will work with and report to the PGS Digital Site Lead to manage the site PGS Digital portfolio and ensure programs are delivered to meet or exceed site goals. The position will guide the business in identifying solutions to meet local business needs through leveraging core and/or standard solutions that can be leveraged across the network wherever possible.
The PGS Digital Business Analyst will facilitate on-going monitoring of support for all Digital systems and services (core, non-core, local, and infrastructure) used at the site. The position will escalate support issues with Digital Solution Teams, BTAMS, and infrastructure teams as needed. The PGS Digital Analyst will work on rationalizing local systems not transitioned to the BTAMS support model, working to identify core solution to fit that business need, and to decommission legacy systems, as required.
Role Responsibilities:
- Partner with site business clients and Operating Units to understand and analyze business process requirements and identify appropriate solutions to meet unmet needs.
- Engage with the business to identify and define scope for continuous improvement, innovative, and best practice initiatives and assist or lead those initiatives to improve the efficiency of processes and systems at the site.
- Collaborate with the Digital Solution Areas (PGS Digital, ERP, Infrastructure etc.) to determine solution fit within the current and future systems portfolio to improve business processes.
- Coordinate with Digital Solution Areas (PGS Digital, ERP, Infrastructure, etc.) to identify and propose system and/or process and/or data/configuration changes to increase business and systems operational efficiency.
- Support global Digital project deployments (core solutions) and global Digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives at the site working in partnership with PGS Digital Site Lead, PGS Digital Solution Area teams, and other Digital teams and Business SMEs as required.
- Support the PGS Digital Site Lead in building strong partnerships with key stakeholders that increases the understanding of business needs and works towards maximizing the value of our Digital investments at the site. Support the PGS Digital Site Lead in the on-going management of the business systems POR and systems/service portfolio. Support communication requirements from Digital to stakeholders and wider site.
- Connect with the Digital Solution Areas, BTAMS, and Infrastructure teams to ensure the systems and services support provided meets the expectation of the business users. Monitor the service being delivered to the site, follow-up on unsatisfactory support metrics and escalate critical service issues with relevant Digital / Infrastructure teams.
- When appropriate, the position will perform analysis, design, and drive development/implementation of continuous improvement solutions that meet local business requirements and can be leveraged across multiple sites in the network.
- Rationalize local systems not transitioned to the BTAMS support model; provide local support where rationalization/transition is not possible.
- Monitor metrics to ensure complete and proper execution of Digital related systems and service operational processes in accordance with cGMP and Pfizer standards. Initiate corrective measures as necessary.
- Engage with PGS Digital Compliance and Digital Solution Areas to ensure the right policies and programs are in place to maintain system compliance with cGMP regulations and Pfizer policies and standards.
- Support the Digital Site Lead in their role in the compliance/validation space within PGS Digital as outlined in the PGS Digital Compliance Playbook.
- In partnership with the PGS Digital Site Lead, actas the Digital Point of Contact at the site providing site knowledge and insight to Digital Solution Area teams during solution deployments and providing feedback and site updates that may be relevant or of interest to the Digital Site Community.
Qualifications:
- A minimum in Bachelor Degree of Science or Engineering or related Business/Technical field required. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in information technology / business applications with minimum of 1-2 years related experience in the pharmaceutical or fine chemical industry. Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively; embrace diversity; influence stakeholders and build business partnerships to deliver results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Dutch and English)
- Additional competencies include business systems subject knowledge; manufacturing processes and IT systems knowledge; business acumen; experience with Lean/Operational Excellence tools and driving process efficiencies; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Functional/Technical Knowledge: Applies strong information technology and/or project management skills and pharmaceutical specific expertise to the role. Demonstrated skills in leading, planning, and developing successful business systems projects. Good knowledge of ERP, LIMS or MES deployed at a site.
Knowledge and expertise with the following disciplines desired: Project Management methodologies (i.e. PMI, Scrum Master); Software Development Life Cycle methodologies; GMP and associated regulatory requirements
