YOUR FUTURE JOB

The EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) competence team at Melexis are experts on design and compliance testing for EMC. As an EMC system engineer , you will provide technical support to the product development, business development and EMC compliance teams. You are a knowledge base to support design and modelling at various levels (Chip/PCB/System/Compliance Test setup).

More specifically, you will:

  • Drive the development of EMC modeling capabilities at various levels (IC, System, ...)
  • Perform and support EMC simulations on system and board level
  • Represent Melexis in standardization committees (IEEE, ISO, IEC, ETSI, …)
  • Contribute to the translation of EMC trends on the market, in standardization or in literature into strategic objectives for the EMC team
  • Support further development of the EMC competence center
  • Contribute to EMC related troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Assist the Business Units in solving EMC related problems
  • Contribute to customer oriented EMC services
  • Build EMC test setups according to the corresponding test standards as per customer request
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of test hardware and software

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a PhD degree or Master in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent, with a focus on EMC / electromagnetic compatibility, and preferably a first industry experience
  • You have an advanced knowledge of EMC standards
  • You have hands-on experience of EMC simulation software and EMC measurements equipment
  • You have an analytical mindset, and are eager to learn
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • You are willing to travel up to 25%
  • You are fluent in English
