A day in the life of an Exchange Expert for Large European Institutions Projects

As an Exchange Expert for Large European Institutions Projects, you will be part of highly skilled agile teams that design, develop, deploy, customize, and support breakthrough applications for EU institutions.

Your main duties will be to:

• Day-to-day management of the Exchange infrastructure (On-Prem/Hybrid).
• Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert and lead technical point of responsibility for Email (MS Exchange).
• Lead the improvement of all related service components.
• Commit to delivering the objectives for project activities that were assigned to the Agile sprint.
• Maintain system documentation. Support procedures and rota/cover arrangements with actively managed preventative upgrade cycles.
• Develop your capability as the Subject Matter Expert to configure and maintain the On-Prem/Online Exchange service from a service administration perspective including configuration, improvement, and scheduled maintenance.
• Carry out a program of daily/weekly/monthly checks and develop approaches to improve, streamline, and automate the health status of the environment.
• Considerable experience in the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of MS Exchange and Microsoft 365.

If you have

• Experience in relevant administration including Configuration, SMTP Mail Routing, MX Records, Content Filtering, Quarantine Management, security investigations, and Data Subject Access Requests.
• 5+ years experience in Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016/2019/Online Server.
• Experience in providing high-demand/mission-critical systems on a 24x7 basis.
• Knowledge of Service Management disciplines engagement, design, delivery, and maintenance lifecycles in a high technology or IT services domain.
• Extensive knowledge of exchange migration (From on-prem to on-prem, from on-prem to cloud).
• General understanding of networking (load balancing, firewall…).
• Experience with large Exchange and/or Active Directory multi-tenant deployments.
• Advanced Scripting/Powershell experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot in complex environments and quickly identify root causes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (min. C1).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, solutions-oriented mind, Team player.
• Able to quickly assimilate procedures, work well under pressure, and be punctual, meticulous, and reliable.
• Comfortable in an international and multicultural working environment.

It would be nice if you had

• College degree or 5+ years’ experience in complex IT environments.
• Knowledge of/or experience in ITIL environment, and proven experience with Microsoft Exchange.
• Microsoft certifications, including MSCE, etc.
• Previous experience with Mobile Device Management solutions, SQL, and Active Directory design and implementation is an asset.
• Excellent written & verbal skills in other EU languages.
• Attention to detail, good and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Splunk, and Agile methodology is an asset.
