Export Customer Service Operator

Suttons Group are an family owned and run global logistics business who have seen exponential growth this past year. We are now looking for both Key Accounts & Export Customer Service Operators to join us as part of our International Team based in Antwerp.

The Role

As a Customer Service Operator, you will liaise directly with our customers to provide them with global logistics solutions for the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, from supplier to receiver.

You will be working closely with the local planning and sales team, operations management and international colleagues from other regions as well as HQ Teams to deliver the customer service and operational aspect of the business.

Responsible for managing the efficient and cost-effective execution of services we have sold to customers, including the handling and logistics of their products locally, regionally and globally in our spot fleet assets, our dedicated contract assets or Customers owned fleet assets (as applicable).

You will also be interfacing with our customers, suppliers and agents to deliver a safe and compliant operation, value for money customer service and control of cost.

Skills & Experience

• Good understanding of aspects of multi-modal logistics operations with particular focus on chemical and petro-chemical sectors

• Management of 3rd Party Service suppliers such as Road Transportation, Rail Freight, Shipping and Depots

• Customer Service – implementing and executing solutions for our Customers

• Process Management and Continuous Improvement

• Well-honed listening skills, problem-solving attitude and strong communication skills with the internal team as well as external customers

• Tank container industry experience (preferred)

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software

• Knowledge of IMDG & DOT regulations (preferred)

• Ability to analyze data
